Highly recommended crisphead variety with large dark green heads and good holding ability

Lollo Rossa

Masses of frilly red leaves. does not produce a heart

red or green Little Gem type

Lobjiots (Cos type)

Considered to be one of the best flavoured Cos types

Red Salad bowl

Serrated upright Oak leaf type. Occasional red tinge. Leaves can be removed as needed without cutting off the whole plant.

Frisee, frilly leaves that can be used "cut and come again" or cropped whole. Non hearting
